We have been planning to purchase our building located in SSM for 3 years. We finally started getting the lawyers into place and the talks under way in March of 2020. The pandemic hit and shut down those talks. We ended up purchasing in October of 2020 after many delays from covid setbacks. Once we officially registered our info with CRA and Lawyers, it was after the period of March 2020 so we were ineligible for the Ontario support grant, CEBA, and the property and energy taxes. We are one of the biggest entertaining companies in town and we haven’t been able to use our crown jewel (banquet hall) since we bought the building. The building has very expense utilities. It’s been absolute torture trying to find help and pathetic that we don’t qualify for anything.
